Site 10, Bedlam Lane, c. 2 ha (20,000 sq m)


In response to the Call for Sites in May 2018, the owners offered two fields for possible development, at and beyond the junction of Bedlam Lane and Wanden Road. Well outside the confines of Egerton Forstal, the site would not be compliant with the Ashford 2030 Plan unless treated as a rural exception site for affordable/local needs housing. Without access to local amenities, the site could not be considered on grounds of sustainability and was not included in the formal Site Selection process.
